Previews

Before you pay for a website, we build you a private preview so you can see it first. You pay the rest of the set-up fee only once you're happy with it. If you decide not to go ahead after seeing your preview, you don't pay for it.

Fees

• Each website package has a one-off set-up fee and a monthly fee.
• The monthly fee covers hosting and your domain renewal.
• Apps, larger platforms, marketing and other services are quoted first. Asking for a quote is free.
• Your exact price is confirmed in writing before any work you pay for begins.

Your domain

Domains we register for clients belong to the client's business. If you stop using our service, we transfer the domain to you.

Client agreement

Every client receives a written agreement covering the work, payment, changes and cancellation before their site goes live.

Client portal

Client accounts are by invitation. Please keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

Privacy notice

Ruben Business Group Ltd is responsible for the personal information described here. We only collect what we need to reply to you and to do the work you ask for.

What we collect

• Enquiries: when you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and anything else you choose to tell us (business name, phone number, what you're interested in and your message).
• Client accounts: if you have an account, we keep your name, email address and a securely scrambled password (we can never see it) so you can sign in. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us; we never get your Google password.
• Client work: the details we need to run your projects and send your invoices.
• Domain search: the name you type is checked with the domain registries (Nominet for .uk, Verisign for .com). We don't store your searches.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare your preview, carry out the work you've asked for, and let you sign in to your client portal. We do this because you asked us to, or because it's needed for our agreement with you.

Who sees it

Only the Ruben Business team. We store it with our database provider (Supabase), and our website is hosted by Vercel. We never sell your details or use them for unrelated marketing.

How long we keep it

If you don't become a client, we delete your enquiry within 12 months. If you do, we keep what we need for as long as we work together, and afterwards for as long as the law requires (for example, for tax records).

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time. Send us a message through the contact form. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We only use the cookies needed to keep you signed in to your account. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, so there's nothing to accept.
